Joe Biden is out selling the fact that we have to spend money to avoid bankruptcy in the health care industry.

I know that most people – 75-80% like what they have.

I know that all – every single employer – I have talked to is saying that they WILL dump their health care costs on the government if the issue is forced. That’s 160 million insured people.

I had a chart up before about how much we ALREADY OWE on Social Security, Health Care and Medicare. We already have UNFUNDED MANDATES (that is a big IOU) that states that we owe 70 Trillion dollars.

That isn’t made up. That is BEFORE we spend ONE PENNY on anything else.

That is our country’s GDP for the next 5 years.

Mr. Vice President? What is wrong with you? What is wrong with all you people up there? Why are you TRYING to lead us with your lies into a perdition that will destroy what WE value.

I know that many of your followers are seeing the light. I see the ripped off bumper stickers. I see the poll numbers.

Yet you still continue to state there is no other answer – and that’s a lie.

You CAN do something right now. Something that will cost almost nothing and you can implement inside a year – but you won’t because and only because it is a special interest that pays a lot of money to protect themselves and abandon the country as a whole.

I want to ask the lawyers something – DO YOU REALLY THINK THE GOVERNMENT PROGRAM IS GOING TO ALLOW YOU TO SUE IT? Why are you protecting something that isn’t only going to destroy the insurance industry, insurance agents, cut pay for health care workers (as well as destroy jobs and quality of care) but also make a hollow mockery out of what you think will be protected – namely your right to sue the pants off the doctors?

Hey bubba – the doctors are basically going to end up working for Uncle Sam.

This is so stupid.

You lawyers are just like the greedy unions that have destroyed most every industry (rubber, textiles, ship building, steel, cars, airlines, etc) that they have gotten a hold of. You are going to try and protect massive payouts – and end up losing a hell of a lot more in the long run.

Why are you being so short sighted?

For those folks who don’t get it let me break it down for you:

Every item in a clinic/doctor’s office/hospital is something to do with treating your body.
ok?
If something happens to your body in the above locations, the sharks convince you to sue for millions.
ok?
If you do that enough, insurance costs on every single item goes way up.
ok?
If the costs of everything from tongue depressors to bandages goes up, your ENTIRE BILL skyrockets – the costs get passed THROUGH to your BILL.
ok?
Think about it – how many thousands of items are the doctors buying? EACH item has an additional cost added on to it BECAUSE of the HUGE COST of malpractice insurance.
Why?
Because, instead of being rational, everyone wants to strike it rich (you know, become the greedy bastards everyone wants to punish with higher taxes for being evil?) so they sue the doctor, the nurse, the clinic and the scale company because their fat butt was too clumsy to step off the 3 inch elevated scale without twisting their ankle.
Why else?
Because the greedy people have a reaction to the chemicals that treated the tongue depressor and naturally, it is the doctor, the nurse, the clinic and the company that made the tongue depressor CONSPIRING against them.

Does this mean that loss of life or traumatic injuries should be reduced to being joked about and not have the doctor’s punished? Heck no. If you cut off the wrong arm or leg, you shouldn’t only be sued, but have your liscense revoked nationwide, your name disseminated to all medical facilities and your picture up on a database simlar to a sex offender, because in some ways, for example, a drunk doctor could do a heck of a lot of damage to more people.

There are options to fix this – as I said.

Cap the PAIN and SUFFERING SIDE – unless the injury/damage reaches a catastrophic level. Leaving a piece of gauze vs a wrongful death.

Cap the fees a tort attorney can attain in larger class action suits – 10% for the fee and 10% for expenses unless they have documentation to prove their expenses exceeded 10% but not to exceed 20% no matter what.

Loser pays – if you sue and you lose – you pay all legal fees for both sides. If the judge rules it to be frivolous, you can be judged to owe 3 times the legal fees to the person/company you sue.

Open up insurance to cooperatives. Make it controlled – say industry cooperatives – but allow a small concrete plant to join with their state associations plan which will allow them to cut costs.

Start a rating/costing system of information on the internet – make sure that if people don’t get good care – they can let people know. Also – if there are complaints, make sure that the doctor must have them listed. 100k fine for each instance not listed -goes into uninsured fund to help defray costs of gov’t healthcare (medicaid/medicare). Same fine for each instance of ratings being tampered with. Make each health care group/clinic/hospital list average costs for everything from aspirin to appendix removal.

Hospitals should institute “estimates” just like mechanics.

Insurance must have no “out of network” doctors unless they are banned for legal/ethics reasons.

Insurance must allow people to shop – should work together with hospitals/clinics on pricing comparison charts/rating system – help themselves not be taken over by government.

Drop costs on moving from doctor to doctor (including to specialists) by instituting electronic medical records that the patient controls. Half of the cost of the first visit to any out of network, new or specialized doctors is having to collect all of the information all over again. More cost goes to maintaining the rolling files of hundreds of millions of patients. Chips could be made available for the patient to carry around, with everything from drugs they are on to xrays/CT scans/MRIs they have had done. The cost of these chips is around 100.00 for the most expensive – and those hold major GB now.

Allow these plans to progress for 3 years before even thinking about raising taxes or instituting more government controls.

See Mr. Biden, Mr. Obama? We do have a different idea. It might wound you in the legal fundraising a bit, but really, if you think about it, you have a lot more people to answer to.

What do you think is going to happen when the costs skyrocket after the government takes over and you have 160 million angry people who got cared for in hours now getting cared for in weeks to months, with higher costs, less care, deaths going up, and you bumbling boobs telling us what we can and can’t have covered?

My 82 year old mother DESERVES A LOT MORE than you dunderheads. Your powergrab is over. It is time. Sit down and SHUT UP. Dammit – we are getting tired of your manipulation of the economy – every time it starts going up, you bad mouth it. You get it to where it is tottering on a balance and you want to institute new costly programs that will ruin what delicate balance we have, and plunge us in to a hell we didn’t even see with Carter.

You Socialistic/Fascistic people will not see your dreams culminate. I would suggest to every Congressperson to think long and hard about passing ANYTHING else AT ALL before you see a sea of angry people on your front door step on 9/12.

People – if you haven’t made plans, advise your bosses, demand your friends carpool with you, share hotel rooms, pack sandwiches.

I can’t afford to go – but I will walk if I have to. I’ll sleep in my car and make it in to downtown to show these power hungry pigs that they can’t keep doing this to me. I have lost 3/5th of my salary to keep my job – you bet I’ll be there.

Congress- Mr. President – Mr. Vice President.

I just would quit while you’re ahead. 2010 really isn’t ALL that far off.

And I can assure you – I’ll quit my job, declare bankruptcy and eat grass and spend every WAKING MOMENT I have in my body to defeat EACH and EVERY one of you TRAITORS who spend one more FRIGGIN dime of OUR money to keep your jobs by BUYING votes from people who could care less about the country as a whole.

I won’t hesitate one second to do everything I can to make sure you lose the power you so lovingly betray your constituents to hold on to. And I have friends who are willing to help me.

2010 – this is your wake up call.

Better heed this warning. Go ahead and think this is just a little voice in the wilderness that no one listens to.

Have a nice restful weekend thinking about millions wasted, time lost and power surrendered because you don’t listen. Wait til you’re a civilian again and scratch your head and wonder why.

Historically – people don’t get this.

During Hitler’s Nazism (national SOCIALISM) reign, during Mussolini’s fascist reign, during Wilson’s Progressive (recognize that party name?) reign, during Bismarck’s reign, there was corporatism.

You can tell what is coming down the road – people don’t see this clearly, but it happens every time.

Corporations run to the government when they smell a government take over. Krupp did it in Germany twice (leading the way twice- but they all did it), as did the corporations in Italy and the US.

WalMart, GE (who just hired Mrs. Daschle) and others are flocking to the new Socialist banner. They are going to the new regime they see coming down the pike. They know that if the government takes over (Banks, insurance, car companies – don’t tell me government nationalization doesn’t happen – that’s a lie) they’ll be in deep doo doo if they don’t hop on board now.

The whole thing about Obama asking for a national security force (can you say Brownshirts a la Germany in the 1930’s) in Colorado (see video PROOF below) during his campaign for presidency is another step – and one that is being made into reality under Americorps and their umbrella.

Think we’re kidding? There are children being trained in uniforms, in military formations, standing at parade rest, attention and doing exercises like a military unit, chanting slogans – doesn’t that scare the crap out of you?

They are making noises about guns again as well. Data privacy is going bye bye soon and the Fairness Doctrine isn’t dead.

The Communist Party is one with Unions, as per their own website. They believe that the government and the Constitution should be switched to a failed model. You may wonder why we are stressing the importance of our fledgling conservative advocacy group, The Logical Choice.  You may wonder just what we hope to accomplish.

I know that the Main Scoundrel has been talking about what it is that we stand for.  And how we hope to be able to eventually (soon, hopefully) get our message to candidates.  And also how we really want to be able to offer a counterweight (as it were) to groups like Acorn and MoveOn.org, except with truth and values and ethics. 

Today, in an article in the New York Times political blog section, The Caucus, there is an article talking about how one of Obama’s advocacy groups, Organizing for America, is going to start a door-to-door campaign talking up Obamacare!

THIS is exactly why The Logical Choice is so very important.  Organizing for America will hit the most uninvolved and (if following Acorn’s tactics) the poorest and least educated of Americans.  They will fill them up with propaganda with no regard for the truth (Hope and Change, anyone?).  And they will organize these people to make a lot of noise, and make it appear as though this is a nationally accepted program.  IT IS NOT.  Therefore, it is absolutely imperative that WE, THE PEOPLE also get out to make sure that these groups of people hear actual TRUTHS.  Truths are something the left’s advocacy groups are unfamiliar with.  Truths are NOT what these groups actually advocate.  That is what WE have to do. 

Do not stay silent, people.  Talk to people.  Do your best to educate youngsters – we spend many evenings in our local coffee house; and we spend most of that time talking to the kids who work there.  Not pushing, just informing.  And ‘advocating’ for them to learn for themselves.  To not take what they hear from their teachers or liberal media, or even from us for granted.  To look it up for themselves.  We have to educate.  We have to promote.  We have to contact our representatives.  We cannot remain silent, assuming someone else will do it.  All too often that someone else wears an acorn on their shirt!

Communist Party takeover almost complete – 1963 checklist – Amazing!

This was brought to my attention when I was reading a Glenn Beck book, and while it has been brought to my attention that Cleon Skousen is a “kook” and someone who is off his rocker – I have researched his biography on several sites.

While this may not have been actually listed in a communist party manifesto, it is interesting to note that a law enforcement officer who served in the FBI and as a Chief of police is considered a nut by some.

I can understand that this may make it be an article that you might take with a bit more of a grain of salt, considering his time in the FBI and the actual list of items that have actually been accomplished, this is still a scary list to behold.

Whether or not this is an actual communist document – this is certainly a list of things that have been accomplished by the progressives in this country. A party, I might certainly add, that have HISTORICAL ties, very long and deep ties, to the Marxist, Socialists and Fascists. 

Now of course, they have other names like Third Way and Democratic, but their ties go way back to the socialist/communist movement.

Considering the Communist Manifesto (which is an actual communist document) leans very much towards what this document purports, it isn’t a stretch to think that this man might have been a bit less nutsy than some might wish to have us think. I have included the 10 planks of the communist manifesto below.

Believe what you want – this document from 1963 does indeed show a line of movement that has been accomplished by the left in this country in small bits and bites.

I felt that I had to reveal what a commentor mentioned to me – although the facts were seriously slanted towards discrediting this list.

I might mention that I find it interesting that he went to lengths to discredit this list when most of it has come true. But, I’m sure that’s just lucky coincidence – right?

10 Conditions For Transition To Communism

1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all right of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6. Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.

ObamaCare – Ugly Future

 

You know – the reason I don’t understand why Obama and his crew are pushing this health care plan is because this model has been in place and is failing around the world.

I had someone actually start debating me on Twitter that WE should attack the pharmaceuticals and make them cheaper because the socialized health care wouldn’t allow certain meds on his “great” socialized medical plan.

So, let me see – we should limit the amount of money the pharmaceuticals should make which would limit the amount of money that it takes to research and create a drug, especially due to the YEARS of extra research the FDA requires EACH drug to go through.

I had an uncle that worked as a writer for pharmaceuticals, and he explained the reality of the drug companies life cycle.

They attempt to create hundreds of drugs a year. This requires hundreds of millions in research staff, buildings, materials, etc. 95% or more FAIL. That means they are pouring money down a very deep hole to help us get better medicine, which we don’t seem to want to accept because the very HONEST politicians and people with AGENDAS tell us they are evil.

On top of this, they spend hundreds of millions on further research that they are required by the government to do for years in order to pass the FDA testing requirements.

On top of this, their company must spend tens of millions to insure themselves against people, who get a rash for example, from suing their company for millions of dollars (thus one of the reasons tort reform will save us millions on costs) as well as tens of millions on compliance costs (once again, due to lawsuits).

The company also has to spend tens of millions putting ads in magazines (if it makes it through all of the above)  to meet FDA requirements (gee, does the government add a ton of costs to the drugs it keeps harping  about the costs of – does anyone really read those ads all the way through – all that little print?)  and all those commercials with the disclaimers and side effects because people didn’t remember to ask their doctor or pharmacist about them?

So, here we have a few drugs out of tens of dozens finally making the market.

Some of these drugs are limited use drugs – you know, the ones for very special needs. They get prescribed very little for very special patients. Those are the ones that cost a billion to get through the process and are only prescribed a few million times a year – making their price higher to make up for the cost of their production. Kind of like a car – if you see what I mean. Yes, there is a markup, but not a huge one.

Then you have the drugs that really hit the big time, the one in a thousand that gets prescribed 2 billion times a year. These are the drugs that then, after spending a billion to develop, the drug company has a limited time to take advantage of this and make not only their money back but the money needed to keep inventing more drugs.

A limited time before someone reverse engineers (or steals) their forumla and makes a generic drug and quashes any real hope of making enough of a profit to support a company that spends billions a year to hopefully come up with 2-3 good drugs?

These companies make make a lot of money, but they shell it out too – and believe you me, they spend a fortune marketing it to doctors to hopefully get the doctors to use it.

They live on the razor’s edge, because if they don’t come up with 1-2 good drugs a year, they could easily crash and burn, allowing their competitors to swallow them up.

How do they attract the people to do this research which has got to be terribly mind numbing at times? They pay them handsomely for very specialized education they have had to take for years.

Yes, you see, unlike the people who punch rivets or install windshields onto a car, these people make around the same amount of money to save your life as the UAW workers make to give you a sporty car. Not as sexy maybe, but where would you be without that amoxicillan? How about the hemophiliacs who can’t live without their clotting factor that is lab created to stop them from bleeding if they start and can’t stop?

I could go on and on about that. But the real point is that the government and the class envy people think that it’s ok for the UAW people to make over 100k in pay and bennies every year, but not the people who save your LIFE. Do I have that right? Hm.

And what happens when the pharmaceuticals can’t make enough money to pay the people to do their tireless research? What happens when they can’t afford the labs and materials, some of which are pretty special and expensive? What happens when they can’t meet the FDA requirements? Or pay for insurance anymore?

You don’t have amoxicillan anymore.

Now, what we have isn’t pretty, and needs work, but it doesn’t need tearing down.

The memorial service will feel like a concert production featuring guest speakers, a lot of music and video screens inside and outside of Staples, a source close to the planning tells RadarOnline.com.

For $25,000 to $250,000, The Washington Post is offering lobbyists and association executives off-the-record, nonconfrontational access to “those powerful few” — Obama administration officials, members of Congress, and the paper’s own reporters and editors.

The astonishing offer is detailed in a flier circulated Wednesday to a health care lobbyist, who provided it to a reporter because the lobbyist said he feels it’s a conflict for the paper to charge for access to, as the flier says, its “health care reporting and editorial staff.”

The offer — which essentially turns a news organization into a facilitator for private lobbyist-official encounters — is a new sign of the lengths to which news organizations will go to find revenue at a time when most newspapers are struggling for survival.

And it’s a turn of the times that a lobbyist is scolding The Washington Post for its ethical practices.

“Underwriting Opportunity: An evening with the right people can alter the debate,” says the one-page flier. “Underwrite and participate in this intimate and exclusive Washington Post Salon, an off-the-record dinner and discussion at the home of CEO and Publisher Katharine Weymouth. … Bring your organization’s CEO or executive director literally to the table. Interact with key Obama administration and congressional leaders …

Take A Look at that MEDICARE # Already BEFORE National H/C!

Please take a look at the last chart in particular. People who would love to think my health care costs are blown out of proportion in my articles would be wise to see that Medicare UNFUNDED obligations – that means, my friends, we have to come up with the money from somewhere.

That somewhere, since the money is value we earn for our work and not just something the government creates, is from us.

US.

And they want to make this worse by switching all of America to the SAME health care plan.

Imagine that number ballooning.

And it won’t be free – ask the Canadians, English, Aussies – you PAY money for your services – there are deductibles and copays on this FREE system. And they aren’t low level copays or deductibles either.

Yep – that sounds like a low cost, better efficiency reform.

In fact – looks like Barack is steering us in JUST the right direction – for his goals. Now we just have to wake up and realize what those goals are.

42% Say Climate Change Bill Will Hurt The Economy

 Americans have mixed feelings about the historic climate change bill that passed the House on Friday, but 42% say it will hurt the U.S. economy.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that just 19% believe the climate change bill passed by the House on Friday will help the economy. Fifteen percent (15%) say it will have no impact, and 24% are not sure.

But what is somewhat more telling, in my opinion, is the fact that there is a huge divide between Mainstream America and the “political class”.

The divide on the question between populist or Mainstream America and the Political Class is a wide one. Fifty percent (50%) of Mainstream Americans say the climate control measure will hurt the economy, but two-thirds of the Political Class (67%) say it will help.

That shows the utter disconnect of the political people in Washington. Predictions are from 200k to 850k jobs lost, most new jobs created by this bill will be temporary and the new energy sources that are being touted (solar and wind for the most part) will not be that effective.

Listening to Fox earlier, I heard a Republican make the astounding comment that “most people” are concerned about carbon emissions. Personally, I really hadn’t thought about it until this bill came up, especially with the air standards already in place.

Considering that the temperature has been shown to go up POINT 6 degrees since 1850 and DOWN POINT 7 degrees in the last 11 years – WHAT is this massive threat they are speaking about? The Dem on the same show boldy stated that the “world is warming, the waters are rising…” 

Why is it there are more and more people moving away from this RELIGION of environazis? Because they went from protecting the environment to PUNISHING the people for just living.

Forty percent (40%) of U.S. voters say global warming is a very serious problem, but voters are closely divided over whether it is caused by human activity or long-term planetary trends. In recent months, voters have been trending away from the idea that humans are to blame.

Hmmm  – 40% isn’t a majority – and what can we do about Mother Earth releasing CO2? If half the 40% believe it is natural causes, that means that 20% believe that it is man made. Majority? Please.

So, what’s interesting is with all this info on people being  “concerned with carbon emissions” is that 60% of America would LOVE to see new plants out there to solve this energy crunch rather than FORCING us to use less electricity because know it alls are telling us something that ISN’T TRUE.

Barack – bubby – why is it ok for IRAN to have NUCLEAR power but not your OWN country?  It’s actually the cleanest, greenest and least expensive of all the standard electrical sources, makes thousands of MEGAWATTS per day, and doesn’t actually release carbon to the atmosphere? It wouldn’t take many of these to solve our problems.

 

At least three-out-of-five voters have consistently said that developing new sources of energy is more important than reducing the amount of energy Americans now consume.

Bet you won’t hear Congressional Socialists like Chucky “GonnaGetcha” Schumer touting THESE poll numbers.
