R.I.P. America, We’ll Miss You

America is now hurtling towards its new status a third world nation.  Its citizens, once the great innovators of the world, are being reduced to slave chattel by the ruling class.  The very men and women We The People had elected to represent their best interests had sold them into a bondage they’d never be free of; a mountain of debt they keep deliberately increasing with each socialist program that is being ramrodded through Congress.  The part that stings the most is the knowledge that the last opportunity to avoid this reality is being squandered by bickering over the issues their masters know divide the majority of the American voters.  Each faction has been willing to throw a partial victory away because they didn’t get everything they wanted.  Instead we are all rewarded with total defeat.

They distracted us with the definition of marriage, abortion and other very real issues while they systematically dismantle the Constitution right in front of us.  They’ve attacked us and then told is we were intolerant when we tried to fight back.  We quietly accepted the erosion of our Constitutional rights in an effort to get along.  We say nothing as the President advertises he is building his own civilian army sugar coated as a year of public service.  It stinks of Hitler’s youth, but again we say nothing because we don’t want to be called mean spirited.  We watch helplessly as ACORN is being positioned to take the next census.  Once this count of convenience is complete and drives the last nails in the coffin of conservatism, we will also see any hope of change that is in the best interest of We The People fade away.

Their goal for America is to become a member of a greater global union.  We will no longer be a sovereign entity, we will take orders from the bankers and financiers that have manufactured the very crises they pretend to rescue us from.  We will be forced to produce, yet not allowed to provide for our own children.  They smile at the knowledge that we handed it to them on a silver platter with our apathy.  How stupid we were that we valued so little the hard won freedom we inherited.

Americans have a history of overcoming incredible odds to achieve great things.  Putting a man on the moon is but one example of the awesome things America has done.  Our innovators have led the world in medicine and technology for the last 100 years.  We settled a huge continent and have stood up for what is good and right throughout the world.  America has fought against tyranny whenever it as reared its ugly head, until it crept into our own country.  Now we wonder, where are the Marines?

America, what are you waiting for?  Those currently in power aren’t going to give back what they have stolen from you easily.  They will use all of the same ploys they used to lure us here in the first place.  They will tell you their agenda is for the children.  They will hide behind their convenient lies and rhetoric and then continue down the same path striving for their undeclared goal…Socialism.

Truly, if any of this were really for the children, they would protect the family.  They would honor marriage as the safest place to raise a child.  They would reward the productive and let us keep our resources and trust that we would use them to care for those precious lives we’ve brought into this world.  It’s not at all about the children.  It’s about controlling the vast wealth and resources of the United States of America.  It’s about power.  They won’t be satisfied with just our country; they have their sights set on the world.  A small band of elitist tyrants are willing to kill our economy and our way of life for their own gain and glory.

Its time. Its time to quit waiting for someone else to do something. Become that someone and step up.  Help to spread the word that we can take our freedom back if we seize every opportunity to put visible pressure on Congress to stop this attack on our liberty. Yes We Can!

We are faced with new and dire crises almost daily.  Each and every one is carefully crafted to trick the American people into blindly handing over our Constitutional rights to the very thugs who manufactured them.  If you look at the bills and issues before Congress, it is frightening to contemplate how close we’ve come to the end of America as we know it.

  • Cap and Trade
  • Healthcare Reform
  • Fairness Doctrine
  • Cyber Security Act of 2009
  • Confirmation of Sotomayor as a Supreme Court Justice

Each of these is a direct and very real threat to our Freedom and our rights as spelled out in the Constitution.

Cap and Trade is designed to collapse the economy deliberately under the false pretenses of Global Warming.  So far there is a petition circulating objecting to this onerous bill with the signatures of more than 31,000 scientists, 9000 of who are PhD’s.  The proponents of this bill ignore the arguments that claim there is nothing that supports that Global Warming is more than the regular, normal periods of warming and cooling that have always occurred. Through the excessive tax burden that will be imposed, they will control every aspect of our daily lives.

Healthcare Reform is another way to control both the medical industry as well as the people.  Their plan is modeled after one that includes rationed care and denial of services for people who are deemed it isn’t worth the investment.  You can be certain that Congress and the Unions will be exempted from this plan. Don’t worry, if you like your plan…fugeddaboudit.

The Fairness Doctrine is a direct attack of your right to free speech.  If they are successful in resurrecting this unconstitutional law, it will become a crime to disagree with the government.  It is a way to be able to regulate the Internet.  If they can’t limit what you hear of the dissenting point of view, they can manipulate you into believing, falsely, that there is nothing to worry about.

The CyberSecurity Act of 2009 is another excuse to lock down your freedom of speech even more.

The 1st Amendment to the Constitution of the United States gives every citizen the right to free speech.  It goes farther than just that; it prohibits Congress from abridging that right.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

With the stroke of a pen, the President will sign away our rights as lawful citizens of the United States of America.  If We The People don’t wake up and stand up for these rights, they will be gone forever.  If We The People don’t act now, it will take more than peaceable demonstrations to undo the aggressions against the citizens of our great nation.  It’s easy to say that someone ought to do something about this.  Know this, that someone is you.  If you aren’t willing to stand up against the threat of Socialism, Fascism, Marxism or Communism, who’s going to do it for you.  There are many just like you who want to say “Oh NO You Don’t” to the “Yes We Can” crowd.  Don’t wait, do it now.

Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals has been the left’s master playbook.  It’s not hard to see that these are the tactics that were used on Sarah Palin.  Her ability to rise above the fray every time makes the left nuts.  The blue lines were examples that came immediately to mind.  I’m sure if one were to dig deeper, there would be plenty of examples for the rest.

Rules for Radicals:

  1. Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.
  2. Never go outside the experience of your own people.
  3. Whenever possible, go outside the experience of the enemy.  (Make them speechless).
  4. Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.  (The hypocrisy play)
  5. Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.  (Humor is the ultimate weapon!)
  6. A good tactic is one that your people enjoy.
  7. A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.
  8. Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose. (Timing is everything).
  9. The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.
  10. A major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure on the opposition.
  11. If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counter side.
  12. The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.  (Put up or shut up).
  13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it (example, George Bush as the personification of evil).

None of the attacks on Sarah from the left have been anything but an attempt to neutralize what they see as a very real threat.  When they couldn’t ridicule her into submission, they turned to unprecedented attacks using her family and the ethics bill she championed as weapons against her.  Before Sarah, G.W. Bush had the same treatment going into this last election cycle in order to neutralize and demoralize the GOP.  The left portrayed President Bush as not only an enemy of the world, they attacked him on the home front as well.  It was effective too.  For the GOP, the election was lost before it ever began.

The list above was taken from a post appropriately titled “Know Thy Enemy”.  If the grassroots conservative movement wants to have the stamina to beat back the socialist tide, we have to truly know thy enemy.  Understanding what their tactics are will help us not to buy into their game.  Instead, we need to engage them in a debate of our choosing.  No more compromise to get along in the true spirit of bipartisanship.  They have fully demonstrated with their grotesque display of power in Washington, the liberals have no intention of engaging the right.  Our own concept of fair play has been used as a weapon against us.

Now is the time for We The People to stop listening to the talking heads on TV and use our own God-given brains to decide what is best for America.  It’s time to stop being paralyzed in our apathy and stand up for the Freedom that was bought with the precious blood of our Founding Fathers.  If there was ever a time to pay attention, its right now as we watch our Constitutional rights evaporate before our very eyes.

There is NO person or government that deserves the fruits of your own labor more than you do.  As a free people, we have a responsibility to take care of our own needs and not to look to the government to take care of us.  There was a time in this country when if you didn’t work, you wouldn’t eat.

An Attack That Began Before I Was Born

Before I was born, a man I would later learn to deeply respect, spoke about the socialist threat to America.  In a recorded speech, circulated by the AMA in 1961, Ronald Reagan warned that while America would never accept socialism directly, it would get its foothold through healthcare.  His words are as true and immediate today as they were when he uttered them.

“Back in 1927, an American Socialist, Norman Thomas, 6 times candidate for President on the Socialist Party ticket said, the American People would never vote for Socialism.  But he said under the name of liberalism the American people would adopt every fragment of the Socialist program.”

This war against freedom has been waged against the American people this entire century.  Since they realize the people wouldn’t accept this ideology under the name “SOCIALISM”, they realized a rose by any other name would still smell as sweet.  In changing to LIBERALISM and now PROGRESSIVISM, they are only trying to keep their foot in the door.

“One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine.  It is very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project.  Most people are a little reluctant to oppose anything that suggests medical care for people who possibly can’t afford it.”

The socialist leaders subscribed to the foot in the door philosophy.  If they can only break through and get their foot inside the door, they can expand the programs after that. “It’s presented as a great emergency.”  Even in the 1960’s, the unions supported socialized medicine. If you dare to oppose, they will challenge you on an emotional basis, not an ideological one.  “It is simply an excuse to bring about what they wanted the entire time, socialized medicine.”

There is no time to wait, if We The People don’t get loud enough that the media must take notice, we will be giving up on not only our own freedom, but also the freedom of our children and grandchildren.  There won’t be any end to the intrusion into your individual liberties.  There may come a day when you’re the one told that it is better to take the pain medicine rather than have the more expensive procedure that would cure your ailment.  Necessarily, taxes will go up to pay for this massive expansion of government.  This will become a monstrous burden that will cause We The People and our economy to eventually collapse.

Ronald Reagan warned us so long ago that if we did not act, “One day we will awake to find we have socialism.”

One Possible Future

Explore with me one possible future:

“Now for tonight’s headlines.”  The newscaster took a deep breath and sighed uncharacteristically before he continued.  “With the support of all unions, the president has declared the Constitution invalid.  Here’s the Rose Garden press conference…”

“In the interest of global unity, I have declared the Constitution of the United States null and void.  It is no longer practical to allow the citizens to believe they have any influence on the future course of this nation.  We have a greater good we must deal with,” the president paused for dramatic effect, “and I will share what this actually is as you need to know.  Trust me.  In the mean time, I will be the absolute final authority on the American economy and the American people.  All voting will be suspended until further notice.

Now that there is healthcare for all, we need to control the costs.  Everyone is going to have to be realistic in their expectations for their healthcare outcome.  So, there will be mandatory genetic screening, if you have a genetic pre-disposition towards cancer, heart disease or obesity, we will ask you to report immediately for counseling and treatment.  This way we can assure that no one who deserves excellent healthcare will be denied.  Funerals will, of course, be covered by the Single-Payer option.

As for our carbon output, it is time for all Americans to tighten their belts once again.  To discourage the irresponsible use of electricity, we will add an additional 50% surcharge to your bill to help you remember what you’re doing to the earth.  I know there are Internet rumors that claim that Global Warming isn’t based in fact, but we’re going to err on the side of caution and make sure that we win this fight.  Also, all southern states, I know it’s summer, but you can’t go expecting a/c every day, all day.  You’ll just have to go green or get hot.  And since we’re already taxing all American’s in every way we can think of, you probably can’t afford it.”

You are probably thinking, the extreme picture I’ve painted for you above just isn’t possible.  However, it is just one of the many possible futures for America from the cross roads we are standing in.  Before you discount it completely, just think about the fact that the House of Representatives just passed CAP and TRADE even though there are studies by MIT and other well respected scientists that say all we are seeing is the normal global cycles of warming and cooling.  Since it is widely accepted that there were at least four major ice ages, it is only logical that there were periods of global warming in between.

Instead, consider what is the motivation for those who are behind the strong push for policy change.  Money and power are at the root of everything we’re seeing.  When the dust settles, we’ll see who made the best deals and won at the expense of the American people.  The winners may be political powers from other nations, union executives and the Washington toads that have sold us out for personal or political gain.  Worse than what I’ve already described, now consider this. Is it that great a stretch of the imagination to believe that there are those in power who would gladly sell America’s future out and have us take on not only a global currency, as they have already alluded to, but come under the authority of a One World Government?

We have an obligation to the Founding Fathers of this nation, to our children and to each other to not sit idly by and watch as our Constitutional rights are systematically dismantled.  Unless We The People stand up and object loudly to what is transpiring in Washington, we will loose the right to disagree, to speak out against, to keep and bear arms and to keep the fruit of our own labors.

Foundations of Freedom

The public has forgotten that they are the majority of the American government system. We have become common placed with electing a representative and then sitting back patting ourselves on the back for doing our political duty. The people do not understand the original intent behind the constitution. Our founding fathers lived and suffered under a rule that limited their ability to prosper. Once you have experienced that kind of oppression, you acquire a passion and discerning knowledge that detects any form of limitation of freedom.

We have forgotten that they were so afraid of this restrictive power that they first instilled a government system that left no power to the governing body. We have so displaced this time of hardship that we don’t even teach it. We act as though the time span from 1774 until 1789 did not exist. No one even questions that George Washington’s term didn’t start until 1789. However, the 16 presidents prior to Washington were at the mercy of a unicameral legislation & held no power.

In Delaware in 1785 our founding fathers decided on May 30th to establish a national government consisting of 3 distinct branches that not only divide the governing powers but is also accountable to the other branches as well as to the people. Because they had experienced corrupt rule driven by man’s greed, they seriously considered how to balance liberty and order of the government to ensure that neither one branch nor an individual could become more powerful than the others.

By establishing a LIMITED GOVERNMENT that is governed by the people they secured individual liberty for the people. With the added division of power between the national and state levels, individuals are given a greater voice to address local needs of the citizens. In creating this form of government, our Founding Fathers intended to secure the ultimate source of government power being derived from that of the people. The American constitution is the strongest form of government because it was based on these principles of POPULAR SOVEREIGNTY.

We the people (all individual citizens) of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union (one not ruled by strong political powers but by the people), establish justice (punish unlawful conduct, reward the good and hard working, and hold the government accountable to a code of liberty), ensure domestic tranquility (keep our homeland peaceful and free of civil disunity), provide for the common defense (create an armed force that defends our liberty), promote the general welfare (establish a competitive market that is run on supply & demand of the public), and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity (so that our children’s children will benefit from our actions), do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

If any of this is altered we will be walking on the graves of the thousands who died for this cause; who died for their future family’s freedom to prosper. We will be claiming they died in vain. They obviously strongly believed in the fight for their future generations because they knew that most of them would not live to reap the full benefits of the fight. How could we so carelessly throw away these constitutional words that they painfully and fearfully chose to ensure liberty?

Socialist Attack on the Constitution

constitutionOur form of government was set up to have built in checks and balances so that no one body within the government could get so powerful they could ignore the Constitution and the will of the people.  Congress, the President and the Supreme Court individually have powers the others don’t.  Ideally, out of control behavior would cause the other two branches to stand up for the interests of the people.  We The People have to remain watchful.  If officials aren’t honoring their duty to the citizens of our nation, it is our duty to call them to task.

The often discounted and overlooked final check and balance on our government is We The People.  Our right to keep and bear arms is addressed in the 2nd Amendment.  The authors of the Constitution realized that if people should ever be denied the right to fight, the balance of power is shifted.  Any measure that takes away the right to keep and bear arms threatens the balance that keeps bullies from imposing their will indefinitely.

With the events that are occurring right before our eyes, we can’t take lightly the wisdom and the forethought given to our Constitution.  Wise men, who could not have imagined the technologies and advances we’ve made since 1776, crafted a document that would protect future generations from tyranny.

Many states are passing resolutions that re-assert the Constitutional rights reserved to the states and to the people in response to the unprecedented actions being taken by the President and Democratically controlled congress.  Bailouts, healthcare, and special interest pork spending are not in the interest of the American people.

There are individuals that have a socialist agenda who are systematically attacking our Constitutional rights.  If We The People don’t stand up and re-assert our rights as American citizens, we will soon loose the right to speak up and have a dissenting opinion.

10th Amendment & Socialism

Socialism: An economic system in which the basic means of production are primarily owned and controlled collectively, usually by government under some system of central planning.

Recently, a British retired physician needed an MRI.  Back home, it was going to be an incredible wait and this exam was to diagnose a life threatening condition.  If he were right, he would not survive the wait.  It was cheaper and faster to come to America to pay cash for an MRI than to work within the British nationalized healthcare system or outside the system and jeopardize any future coverage.

Is this what you want?  No matter how evil our current heath care system in America is portrayed to be, it is still the best in the word.  If our heath care were to be a single-payer system, this will bring us to the lowest common denominator.  A bureaucrat will decide whether or not you qualify for care.  What if you were the one deemed “not worth the investment” because your BMI isn’t within the guidelines?  When they embrace rationing as a cost cutting measure any one of us could be in the same position as the retired physician who came to America to get what he needed.

We all have to take a personal responsibility for the quality of our lives.  If we are going to have the best of everything, it will require working for it.  Today Star Parker in her weekly column had much to say about the uninsured.  We need to pay attention to her because she is a woman who has transformed her life by getting off welfare and getting an education:

During the presidential campaign, Barack Obama said “The reason people don’t have health insurance isn’t because they don’t want it. It’s because they can’t afford it.”

This is largely not true.

According to a new study from the Employment Policy Institute, authored by two economists from City University of New York (one, June O’Neill, spent four years as head of the Congressional Budget Office), 43 percent of the 47 million can afford insurance and choose not to purchase it.

According to 2007 census data, 20 percent of uninsured households earn over $75,000.

Regarding the remaining 57 percent, the authors call them “involuntarily” uninsured because they can’t afford insurance. But “involuntarily” is also a misnomer, because it implies no connection in how they choose to live to the fact that they can’t afford insurance.

The study provides the following portrait of this population: About a third are high school dropouts; they are disproportionately young; about a third are immigrants, mostly Hispanic non-citizens; about half are single without children; about 40 percent did not work during the year.

Pulling immigrants out of the equation, we’re left with an uninsured population that can’t afford insurance that is about a third the size of the widely quoted 47 million. It’s a population that is generally poor, young, uneducated, and not working.

We’re already set up to deal with these folks. Either through Medicaid or covering their emergency room visits. The operative question is do we want to further institutionalize this reality into a new national health care plan involving trillions in new taxes and programs.

I think the answer is clear: No.

The question that must be asked is why?  Why is it so important to Mr. Obama and his cronies that this agenda is passed in such a hurry?  Why do they want us all dependent on the federal government?  Because if America wakes up, their power will be taken back where it should be to the states and to the people.

10th Amendment

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

What this means is that We The People must speak up.  The Federal Government doesn’t have the right to force socialized health care on us because it wasn’t specifically given that power by the Constitution.  According to the 10th Amendment.  If a power wasn’t specifically given, then it is reserved to the State or to the people.  Therefore, it is outside the powers of the Federal Government to force this legislation on the US citizens.

Fax your Congressmen and keep putting the pressure on.  Say NO to socialized healthcare!

Citizens Come First!

California farmers are watching their crops wither and die because of the Delta Smelt,  a fish that was added to the endangered species list.

 Because of this otherwise innocuous act, the pumps were turned off that fed all of the irrigation waters for the San Joaquin Valley and the canals have dried up. 

Now unemployment in this area is up and it’s a man-made drought.  Since when do fish come before the tax-paying citizens of the United States?

We The People better sit up and take note.  The Federal Government has sided with a fish ahead of the general welfare of the taxpayers in that area.  How long will it be before you find yourself in the same position?  How long will it be before Washington takes over the failing agriculture communities because they are too big to fail? 

So far, 80,000 jobs have been lost according to Fox News.  Beyond the jobs, those salaries are no longer paying bills, buying groceries and clothes.  When we’re in economic trouble already, it doesn’t make sense to kick them while they’re down.  The excuse is an endangered fish, but it is no longer impossible to believe that another industry could be nationalized for the good of We The People.

Our country was founded on the ideal that leaders only lead with the consent of We The People.  They are to act in our best interest, not their own.  When we see the personal interests of politicians, because they have worked so hard to earn the title “Senator”, come before the interests of the American people it is time to remind Washington who they work for. 

The unemployed citizens of Mendota, who are apparently less important than a fish, need to hear from the rest of We The People that they are not alone.   Fax your representatives in Washington.  Don’t let the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels get by with deliberately hurting tax paying citizens’ futures.  This is a nation by the people, for the people and of the people.  It is irresponsible to hurt so many with an avoidable drought.

Don’t be fooled and think you will not be next.  Speak up or lose it forever.

Personal Responsibility

Consequences to our individual choices are inevitable. If you touch a hot iron, you are going to get burned. If you jump off a cliff…

Here we are, on the edge of that cliff called socialism. The question is are we going to get pushed?  Right now, we are talking about all of the uninsured Americans that need access to good health care.  Having been on the periphery of the health care industry for more than a decade now, I can tell you there are many programs that are already in place to help those in need. You have Medicaid, Medicare, CHIPS and county health care centers providing for those needs.

If this nation jumps off the cliff of socialism by pursuing the health care plans being torpedoed through the system, we will be making an irresponsible choice.  The proposed cost can’t be covered without confiscatory taxes to avoid new debt.  The people of this nation trusted Congress to guard our interests and protect our prosperity.  For this nation to survive, each of us will have to accept responsibility for the quality of our lives.

There are no guaranteed outcomes in life.  Texans showed during Hurricane Ike that neighbors can help each other during desperate times.  Rather than looking to the government to fix every problem that we face, it is time to remember the pioneering spirit that allowed us to settle this country.  No apologies.  It took individual responsibility to survive.  There was no safety net.

Its high time for the whining to stop.  Entitlements are bad all around.  For the recipient, it enables irresponsible behavior.  For the taxpayer, it robs them of the fruit of their  own labor.  Instead of coddling everyone dependent on the entitlements, its time for some tough love.  Every parent knows that for your children to walk, eventually you have to let go.  They may fall down a few times, but eventually they will succeed.

Since our Constitution does not guarantee an income, government should not be in the charity business.  No entitlement should continue indefinitely.  This is an unfair burden on the citizens of this country.
