You know – it’s unbelievable – a bank suing itself over a condo mortgage.

Only with the government we have today could this kind of thing happen.

Michelle Malkin has found another example of DUH, as she is so great at doing.

Apparently, due to government regs, a bank suing someone for the assets in a foreclosure seizure has to notify all other lienholders of it’s intent to do so, but one of the lienholders (a second mortgage) is itself.

That’s right, Wells Fargo who has extended a first mortgage to the condo developer has filed a suit against the lienholder of the second mortgage, namely Wells Fargo. And, according to the reports, it has HIRED two law firms to do this.

Communist Party takeover almost complete – 1963 checklist – Amazing!

This was brought to my attention when I was reading a Glenn Beck book, and while it has been brought to my attention that Cleon Skousen is a “kook” and someone who is off his rocker – I have researched his biography on several sites.

While this may not have been actually listed in a communist party manifesto, it is interesting to note that a law enforcement officer who served in the FBI and as a Chief of police is considered a nut by some.

I can understand that this may make it be an article that you might take with a bit more of a grain of salt, considering his time in the FBI and the actual list of items that have actually been accomplished, this is still a scary list to behold.

Whether or not this is an actual communist document – this is certainly a list of things that have been accomplished by the progressives in this country. A party, I might certainly add, that have HISTORICAL ties, very long and deep ties, to the Marxist, Socialists and Fascists. 

Now of course, they have other names like Third Way and Democratic, but their ties go way back to the socialist/communist movement.

Considering the Communist Manifesto (which is an actual communist document) leans very much towards what this document purports, it isn’t a stretch to think that this man might have been a bit less nutsy than some might wish to have us think. I have included the 10 planks of the communist manifesto below.

Believe what you want – this document from 1963 does indeed show a line of movement that has been accomplished by the left in this country in small bits and bites.

I felt that I had to reveal what a commentor mentioned to me – although the facts were seriously slanted towards discrediting this list.

I might mention that I find it interesting that he went to lengths to discredit this list when most of it has come true. But, I’m sure that’s just lucky coincidence – right?

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

At Mrs. Nordman’s request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following “Current Communist Goals,” which she identifies as an excerpt from “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen:

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.  [What was Obama just in Russia talking about?]

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.  [same]

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.  [No Ko, China, Iran, Cuba]

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press. [done]

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV. [done]

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.” [done]

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”  [done]

10 Conditions For Transition To Communism

  1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
  2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
  3. Abolition of all right of inheritance.
  4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
  5. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
  6. Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.
  7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
  8. Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
  9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equal distribution of the population over the country.
  10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children’s factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.[7]


Schumer says health care isn’t dead yet – Dems might have to do it alone!

This is getting creepy – we had just no more than posted the article about focus, and talking about how the Dems might get sneaky when this pops up on my news wire from FOX.

Chucky “I’m gonna get you” Schumer is at it again. This man is a dyed in the wool socialist and is out to make you into his image whether YOU like it or not.

He is bound a determined to get this health care plan through, costing, no costing, plan, no plan, what ever the cost, YOU’LL pay it.

The House of Reps is doing the same thing under Pelosi – starting a bill for a SINGLE PAYER MEDICARE SYSTEM for ALL Americans – mandatory.

Except unions and the Federal Government – of course. WHY IS THAT? Why is no one faxing the House and Senate and asking WHY this plan excludes them – WHY can THEY have their own plans, untaxed and unfettered? What makes them so special? They’re OUR reps – WE’RE the ones THEY should consider special.

The ultimate, snide, condescending, loathing, hate filled arrogance of these people is beyond anything we have seen before. The small smirks and sneers say it all. They look down their noses at us, because when we elected them to office, they achieved demi god status and are immediately better than us. Listen to their words and how they say them – how they look when it comes out of their mouth. They know we don’t want this, and they don’t care.

The NYT/CBS poll was of I believe a little over 100 people and 48 said they voted for BO while only 24 said McCain. This is a highly SKEWED lie. This is a poll that is 2:1 in favor of BO to begin with and they are mostly going to support the health care plan.

Is it any wonder that 72% of this LITTLE poll was for BO’s health care?

The Gallup poll of, I believe, 1000 people showed 42% for 42% against. Not the overwhelming poll the Senator wants to hear. But then – BO had a mandate with a slight majority of the popular votes – right?

When people started hearing promises by Barack Obama that we could keep our private insurance and that he didn’t want to take over insurance, that he didn’t want government to become a single payer system, that we were all liars, I just sat back and waited.

I kept waiting for the other shoe to silently drop.

I have already, in my short stint, been accused of being a consiracy nut. That I believe aliens are pulling the strings, etc. Still not sure where that came from since I have linked to information on almost every single thing I have talked about.

I know there are people who are questioning the sanity of what I talked about in my very long post about the breakdown of what health insurance could really cost. (up to the tune of 22k dollars per person per year – see the article for my math)

I realize it seems far fetched.

But what I based my math on was the CBO PARTIAL scoring (their word for “figuring up the potential cost” or guessing) of the health care plans before Congress RIGHT NOW and the idea that they were going to base this system on the current medicare system which doubled in cost to the taxpayers every 4 years.

“But Rich, Barack, the anointed one, says we won’t be single payer or based on a medicare system!”, you say.

Couple of things to remember – you as an employer aren’t going to keep the costs in your life of insurance if you could foist it off on the government to stay competitive with a competitor that does it. That would quickly kill your market share.

Government is going to tax employers who don’t cover employees, and employees are going to get taxed if they have a private plan as if the value of that plan were INCOME. If you make 50k and your insurance plan is worth 15k – you WILL be paying taxes at a 65k level.

Go look up the difference and see how much more you’ll pay – dare ya!

And if you think this won’t happen – this is the SAME party who believes if you don’t WANT to join a union – you don’t deserve a job or you get charged the dues anyway. Sound familiar? Want proof of that – see the long list of videos about union tactics.

So, why am I rehashing all this? We are seeing more and more proof of what we’ve been predicting in ominous little comments such as the one you see in the linked article. There is also independent corroboration of what we looked at in that big long article – that 119 people who ARE insured will eventually be forced onto the dole of government insurance – thus making our numbers seem all that more realistic.

I can see the future quote now:

“America, I am sorry that it has come to this juncture. While I, as President, do not want to step in and nationalized the entire health care system, I find myself being forced into this by the failure of the private health insurance industry to continue to hold up it’s part of the bargain while government health care patients enjoy all the benefits. Therefore, it saddens me to sign into law this bill so that I can save you all from yourselves and bring you into the fold under my thu…. er contro….er wings!”

California farmers are watching their crops wither and die because of the Delta Smelt,  a fish that was added to the endangered species list.

 Because of this otherwise innocuous act, the pumps were turned off that fed all of the irrigation waters for the San Joaquin Valley and the canals have dried up. 

Now unemployment in this area is up and it’s a man-made drought.  Since when do fish come before the tax-paying citizens of the United States?

We The People better sit up and take note.  The Federal Government has sided with a fish ahead of the general welfare of the taxpayers in that area.  How long will it be before you find yourself in the same position?  How long will it be before Washington takes over the failing agriculture communities because they are too big to fail? 

So far, 80,000 jobs have been lost according to Fox News.  Beyond the jobs, those salaries are no longer paying bills, buying groceries and clothes.  When we’re in economic trouble already, it doesn’t make sense to kick them while they’re down.  The excuse is an endangered fish, but it is no longer impossible to believe that another industry could be nationalized for the good of We The People.

Our country was founded on the ideal that leaders only lead with the consent of We The People.  They are to act in our best interest, not their own.  When we see the personal interests of politicians, because they have worked so hard to earn the title “Senator”, come before the interests of the American people it is time to remind Washington who they work for. 

The unemployed citizens of Mendota, who are apparently less important than a fish, need to hear from the rest of We The People that they are not alone.   Fax your representatives in Washington.  Don’t let the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels get by with deliberately hurting tax paying citizens’ futures.  This is a nation by the people, for the people and of the people.  It is irresponsible to hurt so many with an avoidable drought.

Don’t be fooled and think you will not be next.  Speak up or lose it forever.

Fired IG Calls White House Explanation Baseless – Says Hes Being Targeted

Okay – facts so far:

1. KJ asked for money for his organization for “tutoring, building rehab and art projects” – gets 850,000.00

2. IG asked in BY AMERICORPS to investigate money irregularities

3. IG investigates – files report (I have the full .pdf of this report)

4. IG finds that the money is going for inappropriate uses including padding the payroll at KJ’s company and personal ditties to include having people wash his car and get paid out of these funds

5. IG recommends to company that is giving out the money to stop KJ from getting that money

6. Company giving money agrees – cuts KJ off – chooses not to file charges

7. KJ gets elected mayor of Sacramento

8. Problems become public when judgement issued that Sacramento can’t receive stimulus money because guy who would be in charge of it (KJ) was guilty of screwing with federal funds before- Sacramento can’t have any federal dollars

9. Uproar – probable private phone call to BO who is friends with and supported by KJ in election

10.  BO aide calls IG – asks him to step down or be fired

11. IG resigns

12. IG goes public as he should with something as UNtransparent as this

13. BO now comes out with allegations that the IG was confused and disoriented at a meeting, as well as other allegations attacking the IG’s spotless character and rep. This was in no way questioned at any point up til now by anyone – guess the man went senile overnight because BO SAYS he did.

Wonder if Sacramento will get their money now? Anyone know?

Americorps fraught with Fraud? IG fired for discovering it?

Michelle Malkin has done it again, bringing us a story on Americorps and the fraud and corruption inside it.

This little-noticed story in Youth Today yesterday points to another example of Walpin blowing the whistle on fraud:

The inspector general (IG) of the Corporation for National and Community Service is being removed by President Barack Obama, a week after the IG questioned the eligibility of the largest and most expensive AmeriCorps program, and while the IG was contesting the “propriety” of a settlement made with a mayor for alleged misuse of AmeriCorps funds.

Funding for the largest AmeriCorps program – the Teaching Fellows Program, run by the Research Foundation of the City University of New York – is in abeyance pending resolution of widespread problems identified in a recent audit. Although Walpin recommended that funding be curtailed and that previous funds (perhaps as much as $75 million) be repaid to the corporation, the corporation has said it will take no action on that matter.

Walpin concluded that nothing was being gained by the grants to CUNY and that the money was simply being used to subsidize an existing and funded program.

The Office of Inspector General (OIG), Corporation for National and Community Service (Corporation), contracted with Cotton & Company LLP to perform agreed-upon procedures to assist the OIG in grant cost and compliance testing of Corporation-funded Federal assistance provided to The Research Foundation of the City University of New York (RFCUNY). The Corporation awarded two Education Award Program grants to RFCUNY that were categorized as Professional Model grants.


As a result of applying our procedures, we questioned education awards of $16,152,414 and draw downs of $773,254. In general, we questioned the education awards for members whose eligibility was not established in accordance with grant requirements for criminal background checks. Draw downs were questioned mostly for fixed fees related to members whose eligibility we questioned and also for drawing down in excess of fees earned. In addition, our compliance findings when taken as a whole indicate pervasive problems of eligibility, timekeeping, and documentation. A questioned cost is an alleged violation of a provision of law, regulation, contract, grant, cooperative agreement, or other agreement or document governing the expenditure of funds or a finding that, at the time of testing,
includes costs not supported by adequate documentation.

…Participants who successfully complete terms of service under AmeriCorps grants are eligible for education awards and, in some cases, accrued interest awards funded by the Corporation’s National Service Trust. These award amounts are not funded by Corporation grants and thus are not included in claimed grant costs. But at the time that a grant is awarded, and due to the grant award, these amounts become immediate obligations of the National Service Trust. Therefore, as part of our agreed-upon procedures, and using the same criteria used for the grantee’s claimed costs, we determined the effect of our findings on AmeriCorps members’ entitlement to education and accrued interest awards.

The following is a summary of grant compliance testing results…

1. RFCUNY drew down more funds than it was due.

2. RFCUNY did not follow certain AmeriCorps Provisions.

3. The supervisory signature on members’ timesheets was not the members’ supervisor, or that of someone with direct knowledge of hours served by the members.

4. Members did not always record actual service hours on their timesheets.

5. Some members’ timesheet hours were not accurately recorded in the Corporation’s Web-Based Reporting System.

6. RFCUNY did not require its members to timely submit their member contracts, forms, and timesheets.

7. RFCUNY used preprinted member documentation and did not ensure that all member documentation was completed, signed, and dated.

8. RFCUNY did not maintain documentation to demonstrate that each member’s evaluation complied with AmeriCorps Regulations and the Member Agreement.

9. RFCUNY did not maintain documentation to demonstrate that members received criminal background checks and that any background checks conducted complied with AmeriCorps Provisions.

10. RFCUNY entered incorrect member start dates in Corporation systems and in member contracts.

11. Some members worked beyond their contract-end date.

Personally – I would love to add something pithy or meaningful – but frankly, this is something I can’t add much to. This is just corruption and the cover up of corruption by people who are trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the majority of the American people and act saintly while practicing cronyism, machine politics, and protection of a supporter caught with his hand in a cookie jar.

Since the American people, in their wisdom decided in their knee jerk pied piper routine to follow the media down this rathole to socialism and petty identity politics, we have no way of slowing this train down if the Democrats all decide to hop on the ride at the same time.

It’s becoming more and more apparent that investigations are going to be stopped, people looking into things will be punished or removed and people who question methods or ideas will be attacked, and generally in a hateful manner.

This is the hope and change that everyone was hoping for, right?

The debt everyone cursed Bush for is quadrupled, the war continues with more troops being sent back to the Middle East, our ally is being ignored in favor of Iran and Hammas, unemployment is worse than predicted, tax cheats put into office, people being fired to cover up fraud, dates, fly overs, etc.

I can’t stand what is going on here –  this IG did his job, and should be rewarded, not punished. The people who should be punished are the people who are committing misdeeds, not the ones discovering them.
